It was originally slated to stream live on Hulu, but due to strong reception from test screenings, Searchlight Pictures has given it a wide theatrical release instead. The target audience must be parents
Although I am not a parent at the moment, you will find a story about motherhood and female rage. If anything, this movie is insightful. Some of the characters are very sharp. Mariel Heller can make a movie that seems impossible.
This movie is so far divisive
This is me The best performance ever and probably the best performance I’ve seen this year. She’s wild, bold and funny in her performance that conveys her anger, happiness and pain perfectly The depth is palpable. Addams embodies the role of mother with a deeply resonant authenticity, and this personal connection as a mother heightens her performance, making it feel relatable and real. I don’t feel as strong a connection between her portrayal and my own mother as if she captured the essence of maternal love and sacrifice in a way that really speaks to me.
No, not really
I’ve seen some people dismiss her performance, and many feel that Adams shouldn’t have won or been nominated for this odd role. For me acting awards are always based on acting and not films. She is the vehicle of the film. She should definitely be nominated or win.
Desire should not disappear
