Chronology
"Mufasa: The Lion King" tasks Rafiki with passing down the legend of Mufasa to the young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature traits. The story, told in flashbacks, introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and lonely until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka – heir to the royal bloodline. A chance encounter sets off an expansive journey for an extraordinary group of misfits in search of their destiny – their bonds tested as they work together to evade a formidable and deadly enemy.
