The opening credits sequence features a variety of photographic and painted images, as well as Oklahoma landmarks, superimposed over the New York landscape: the “Touch the Clouds” statue of the Sioux Indian chief; wearing a war bonnet and bone choker necklace (breast plate) attached to the Brooklyn Bridge Gold Digger statue atop the Statue of Liberty. In the New York City borough of Manhattan, there are several numbered “avenues” that are interspersed with smaller-numbered streets.

I’ve always liked Stallone over the years, yes he was addicted to the sequel but he made some really entertaining movies and spawned a few classics. From an acting perspective alone, “Tulsa King” may be his best work where he just cold-bloodedly takes on the role of a mafia crook.
Fun to watch, worth watching
The show itself has an interesting story, is well written, uses New York gangster humor in Tulsa, Oklahoma without getting silly, adds healthy violence, good writing and dialogue, and a great cast of supporting actors and characters to have a winner. Check out our Yellowstone review.
