Chronology
The misfit cousins reunite for a tour of Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when old tensions between the odd couple resurface amidst their family history. When Benjy and David visit their grandmother’s house in Poland, the place is where Jesse Eisenberg’s real ancestors settled in the diaspora.. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I know it wasn’t… The entire film is filled with a wide range of emotions, from sadness, happiness, anger, shock, embarrassment, and creepiness to light laughter and ultimately pain that builds up to the end. This is my first time watching a film directed by Jesse Eisenberg, and I went to see it mainly because I’ve enjoyed his performances in other films. One thing is for sure: it doesn’t disappoint. The plot is interesting, with no unnecessary filler and characters that lack depth.
It’s only 90 minutes long, but you might have a few questions to ponder
