I really enjoyed this show!
Reference to Movie Junk Podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). I was really disappointed when I saw the critics say this show is only halfway through. I’ve watched it, and all I can say is that most of the critics are wrong. The episodes could have been longer, honestly, that’s my only gripe.
It’s also a quick watch
If you like video games, definitely check this show out. Now I want to play some of these games again after their episodes. I think the point of Secret Level is to bring in new players, and in that sense I think they succeeded. There was also a lot of heart in a lot of the episodes, which I really enjoyed.
I really, really wish they were all at least 20 minutes
Hopefully this show will be good enough to warrant a season 2. If they do make a season 2, the only thing I think they need to improve on is the length of the episodes. Overall though, I’m grateful we got this show because video games mean a lot to a lot of people, including me. Thanks to all the people who worked hard to bring this show to us.
