Porky Pig and Daffy Duck are the only hope on Earth when they face the threat of an alien invasion. The first Looney Tunes film to be released in theaters and not distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film was originally intended to be an exclusive release for the streaming service Max. After the company released it, the film was sent to other distributors, and GFM Animation eventually acquired the worldwide distribution rights and changed the film to a theatrical release. Inside the meteor, when Daffy demonstrates his talent for manipulating levers, he pulls the levers to lower the machine and pushes them to rise again. Porky does the same later in the scene. But when Porky and Petunia are tied up, Daffy pushes the lever forward, and the machine still lowers them. In the closing credits, Porky Pig delivers his classic statement, “That’s it, people!”, only to be interrupted by Daffy Duck, who tells him that this is not the end of the film and that they need a sequel. Appeared in AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon: Crazy Comic Con Coverages (2022). Mr. Bass Man Written by Johnny Cymbal for Digitrax Entertainment under arrangement with Covered Records, Inc. I really enjoyed the film. The story is a bit, well, crazy, but what else do you expect from Looney Tunes, but Daffy Duck and Piglet Piglet work as a film. However, I have to say that the action was very over the top. Of course, we are talking about Looney Tunes here, especially Daffy Duck, but still. Then the joke fell a little short for me. There were a few funny moments, no doubt, but that proper wit and humor that characterizes Looney Tunes is either missing or rare. But otherwise I can recommend the film as a hand-drawn cartoon in this day and age. This review comes from Germany, where the film has already been released.
