Synopsis
Two young religious women are involved in a game of cat and mouse in the house of a strange man
In the final credits, there is a statement: “No Generative Al was used in the creation of this film.” Heretic is as unpredictable as dirt.
Hugh Grant gives an outstanding performance, and Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East also shine in their roles
Although the film keeps you in suspense for most of the time, the plot begins to run out of steam in the final act.
Unfortunately, the plot is the weakest point of the film
The director, cinematographer and production designer also deserve praise, as they gradually immerse you in the growing madness of the character Grant and his creepy house.
The climax slightly disappointed me, as I was expecting something deeper
At first, the tension and mystery build up nicely, but at about the two-thirds mark, they begin to unravel.
