My wife gives it an 8
Chronology
Adaptation of James Patterson’s novel series about the complex and brilliant detective Alex Cross. In episode 2, Cross tells Sampson that he’s “all about oil and old spice.” In real life, Isaiah Mustafa was featured in the great Old Spice commercials as “the man your man can smell.” We liked Cross enough to watch all eight episodes in two sittings.
But the storytelling and resolution are mediocre
I got a 7 (and I wrote the review!) Aldis Hodge powers through with great expressive eyes. (I might add that each episode has a different writer(s) and director.
I would have liked to see Alex Cross solve some traditional murders, especially not ones that Alex Cross has connections to
). Cross suffers from a bit of a “how are we going to fill 8 hours?” problem, as well as the occasional “jump the shark” with some brutal stuff.

I was particularly disappointed with the ending of this series, and it suggests that the second season (if there is one) may be similar to the first. The new "Silo" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
