Synopsis
TV series adaptation of James Patterson’s novels about the complicated and brilliant detective Alex Cross
Hodge is the third actor to play Cross, following Morgan Freeman, who first played him on screen in the 1997 film Kiss the Girls and again. in the 2001 sequel Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry as the titular character in 2012’s Alex Cross, which bombed at the box office and prompted Lionsgate to scrap its previously planned sequel Double Cross.
That Detective Cross seemed different from what I remembered
Cross, but I don’t remember the story or stories it was made from. In fact, I think I was in his years working with the feds instead of the city police department.
This series had one major flaw for me
However. There seemed to be too many stories running together.
It was sometimes confusing to see the connections
Plus, the main bad guy was almost a supervillain because of how well prepared he was to get to anyone at any time. Other people here have noted how Cross’s performance was different from Morgan Freeman’s.
