After 20 years of absence, Odysseus (Raife Fiennes) washes up on the shores of Ithaca, exhausted and unrecognizable. The king returned from the Trojan War, but much had changed in his kingdom. His beloved wife Penelope (Juliette Binoche) is a prisoner in her own house, accused by suitors competing for the right to become king. Their son Telemachus (Charlie Plummer) faces death at the hands of these suitors, who see him only as an obstacle to their quest for the kingdom.
