Chronology
The lives of an aspiring chef and a recently divorced divorcee are changed forever when a chance meeting brings them together in a decade-long, deeply moving romance. When Florence Pugh couldn’t make it to the film’s premiere due to other filming commitments, Andrew Garfield brought a life-size cutout of her to make up for her absence. During a scene in the living room, with candles and fire, Almut closes Tóbiás’s notebook, but in the next shot it is open. Tobias: Because I’m afraid that there is a very clear and real possibility that I will fall in love with you.

Is It a Sin Written by Al Hazan Performed by Allie Hazan. I recently finished the movie “We Live in Time” (2024) and I have to say that it is one of the most emotional and realistic love movies I have seen recently. : Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh’s lead roles are phenomenal in this film. It’s really not a surprise, since they’ve both been nominated for Oscars before, and I expect them both to receive nominations this year.

I appreciated that this film is able to realistically tell the love story of two strangers who fall in love after their first meeting. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy romantic movies where two lovers meet in the most cynical and ridiculous way possible, but I also love when a movie approaches these stories. Everything these two characters go through in this film can be heartwarming, devastating, and even helpful, depending on the scenes in which those moments take place. I also appreciated that this film manages to balance these moments without feeling overly dramatic or overly emotional to the point of contrivance.
This is a movie I only see once and that’s it
And finally, I like how the ending of the movie avoids all the traditional clichés of other romantic movies while still giving the audience the satisfaction they want to see in this movie: Mixed for We Live in Time (2024): While really appreciating how this movie goes with its own story, there will be people who will probably find it difficult to watch this movie. To be fair, in this respect the film achieved its main goals, but it may also have a difficult effect on people who have experienced similar situations in their lives. There’s only one thing I can say about this movie on that front, and it’s very small. However, if this element is the only negative element in your film, it shows how good your film is.
Overall, We Live in Time (2024) definitely gave me what I wanted and I couldn’t be happier
. If Garfield and Pugh don’t get nominated for their roles in the film, I will be very disappointed in the Academy. That said, if you’re looking for a romantic movie that really takes a realistic approach to history, this is the movie for you.
